About this session

Do you know children who find processing instructions a daily struggle?

Are those children seemingly unable to remember instructions that have just been given to them?

Graphic Facilitation will help you and them!

We will:

  • walk you through why visuals are so powerful
  • demonstrate how using Graphic Facilitation relates to the research on Dual Coding
  • explain why it is the perfect tool to support:
    • vocabulary/concepts/ processes
    • memory
    • attention

It is a lot of fun is about will not skill!

As a result of this session, you will be empowered to become a Graphic Facilitator in your own setting, helping children and young people to better understand, language, learning and the world around them.

  • all pupils but especially those who struggle with language load

The session is led by Sarah Singleton. Sarah is a Level 7 (Dyslexia) Specialist Teacher with nearly 30 years of teaching experience. She was an advisory teacher in mainstream schools for 12 years and is now an independent consultant and Director of SEND Station Ltd.
