About this session

This is a companion session to our highly popular, ‘Autism and Girls.’

The session includes a brief but important recap of the female presentation of autism and how this differs from the male presentation.

Specifically it explores the different ways in which we can implement practical and effective strategies to support girls on the Autism Spectrum. The session is suitable for both professionals and parents and will cover the following:

  • empowering females on the spectrum to understand their differences more fully
  • improved awareness and knowledge of those supporting a girl on the spectrum
  • anxiety management
  • supporting difficulties in social situations
  • appropriate resources to use

There is also a Q&A (Question & Answer) session for those of you with specific issues to raise.

As a result of this training, we believe you will be empowered to be more responsive and effective in your approach to working with autistic girls.

Useful for:

  • those working with or caring for females with Autism and wanting to improve the effectiveness of support

Suitable for:

  • Parents, Special Educational Needs Coordinators (SENCos), Teachers and Learning Support Assistants

Also included:

  • Summary sheet of Key Points
  • Certificate of Attendance
